god what an awful movie. I just had to make this pun.

3 hour (probably more, maybe up to 4 hours) speedpaint!

ANYWAYS! Commission for xiuv on FA  who gave me the freedom to do whatever I felt like with thier glowy leopard character Bokeh: www.furaffinity.net/view/51884… , so i did a combination of a few Oviraptoridae - Mostly an Oviraptor with a fanciery head-crest.

I'm guessing "Avatar."

At which point I must ask, out of morbid curiosity, what was found bad about it.

I'm gonna guess the cultural appropriation/ pochahontas/fern gully plot so many people got upset about.... I thought it was a gorgeous movie even if the plot was recycled :/

Ditto that. It basically was a sci-fi rehash of "Dances With Wolves," but beautifully rendered, and the message still very much relevant. Especially seeing that, most people who are harsh on it? Totally and ignornantly miss the message it's conveying. So yeah, with that in mind, I totally forgive the recycled plot, especially since it puts a wonderful new spin on it and people apparently still haven't gotten the point. And anyway, as I understand it, James Cameron had been devising the plot for it for like years, so the argument could be made that the plot probably seemed more original when he first devised it.

Though I admit there was a spot here and there in the movie where it toes the line a little too far. But that's not uncommon with movies of Avatar's caliber, so you just take it or leave it.

Anyway, I want to hear ALRadeck's views on the movie, assuming that is indeed the movie meant.
