Making new button designs for the conventions i'm attending. I was going to try and do a whole bunch of pokemans, but i don't know shit about no pokemans. I've never played a single game. But I game I DID play, was Monster Rancher.
I own all of them. Even that shitty EVO one. So i doodled some derpy monster rancher characters, they don't get nearly enough love.
I ended up drawing all the "eeveelutions" anyways, though they're intentionally derpy. Also trying out some new brushes with this.
You're absolutely right. They don't get enough love. It was an awesome series, the characters were entertaining. There WAS a plot in the series. The games were really cool. Man, all those afternoons lost changing disks... Good times. I have some of them marked as 'cool' in them.
If I recall correctly, the one on the right was Suezo, the one on the left was tiger ... And the one in the middle I have never seen it before However, my favorite was Gali ... it was just weird enough.
Aw man, love this game. Still play 4 from time to time, and tried to play Evo some more, but eh. I loved the fact that you actually raised your monsters in this series. One monster I missed in the later games was the Worm.
Monster Rancher needs definitely more fan art. At this moment I'm trying to hunt Monster Rancher 2, since my own copy of that game isn't working properly anymore. :/ But it's so damn hard to find the european version! >:l
I only remember Monster Rancher as a part of the "Japanese Monster Craze" of the late 90s-early-00s. I quite liked the show, though. The sealing monsters inside ancient disk things especially appealed to me.
I recognise Tiger and the eyeball thing, but the pink one in the middle is new to me.
