The color combo on that dragon is fantastic. Your painterly style, oh wow I don't even know how to leave a comment that's not redundant as I'm sure you receive lots of good feedback >< but the traditional look it has is so impressive.
ahw thank you ;_; !!! I posted the link to the artist on my main page <3
btw, do you have any tutorials that may help a traditional painter learn how to layer paints??? I enjoy your style and can see how the layers applied in glazes and matte layers would be awesome but I don't know how to get there :< if you have a FAQ just link me, I know many artists have something already to answer such questions. What I love most is that the painterly style looks exquisite in the way you apply it, especially to feathered things and oddly even elements like fire or foliage. I want to paint but I'm going to have to learn the ropes as I go. I need to pick a piece of your art and sit and leave a REAL comment though instead of poking you for help for mememememeeeeee ;<
Lovely detail! I like the lion's mane particularly, but I think his fighting pose needs some work - not that it's drawn badly, but I was thinking about how he's using his equipment.
Like his sword arm; it looks like he's holding his arm unnaturally straight and curling his wrist way back in order to show the full profile of the sword. It shows off the sword well, but I get uncomfortable on his behalf thinking of fighting like that. Seems that it could have been better accomplished if he'd drawn his arm back further and had a bit of a bend in his elbow, to get his hand in mostly the same place, but had his knuckles pointed towards the dragon's head.

Otherwise, really nice piece, though.
